“I’ve
had a great time with various book talks at churches and libraries
the last few months. Thank you Simpson Library, Lohr’s UMC, Grace
UMC and VA Festival of the Book for my recent visits and wonderful
experiences!”
Courting
Constance has been accepted by Vintage Romance Publishing! More

My
latest book talk will be at the Windy Hill Senior Center, Spring
Grove on December 17th at noon. Stay tuned for more
signing news coming in January.
Looks
like Spring Grove will be my next book talk—details firmed up and
announced soon!
In
November, I will again take part in the “National Novel Writing
Month” contest, that is, 50,000 words in 30 days. Contact me if you
want to join in or want to see where to check my daily word count
progress from November 1-30. My project this year is a mystery
inside a fake reality show—supposed to be dark, funny and a satire
of our current economy. Excerpts coming soon to this site and to my
“Nano” page.
I’ve
joined
www.redroom.com,
sort of a Myspace for writers and readers, come check out this new
site. Also, please check the Links page for new connections with
other authors I’ve recently made.
My
newest play about the Last Supper will be published for 2009. It
combines the four times Jesus showed or told us to serve during the
Last Supper with the four emotions shown by the disciples in Da
Vinci’s Last Supper picture. Still waiting to see which title,
“Upper Room Service” or “Living the Last Supper”, will be the one
chosen by the editor, so you’ll see the Books section under “Plays”
updated when the decision is finally made.
How grateful I am to
the Women’s Reading Group in Baltimore for my invitation to speak in
September. It was so cool! I had such a special time and learned
so much about what you read into my book. Thank you for letting me
come and be a part of a great talk!
Great News! Barnes and Noble has started to
carry A Sensible Match in some of their stores—please help me
acknowledge their support by patronizing their stores and website
when you purchase A Sensible Match. Thank you!
Thank you
to the dear ladies of the Inspirational Group at Barnes and Noble

A Sensible Match
now has a companion study guide for reading groups to use in
the EXTRAS (formerly GAMES) section. NOTE: Do not view guide until
after reading the book if you want to avoid "spoilers".
The Great American Pitchfest was a wonderful
meeting place for writers, producers and agents. I highly recommend
this event for anyone interested in movies or tv writing. The free
workshops on Saturday were extremely educational and helpful, I wish
I could have taken them all. I feel fortunate to have at least
gotten some requests for scripts from producers. While this all may
be a long shot, it was well worth the effort to "shoot for the
stars".
