1.
Regency
Romance Short Story:
Flowers for Sarah, Fruit for Kathleen
Author’s note: Please enjoy! This story was written during one
frantic weekend for a contest that I was lucky enough to win!
2. Christian Science Fiction short story,
Discovering
the Evolution of Grey. Author’s note: I wanted to see
if it was even possible to write Christian SciFi. I used an old
fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel, and a lot of
symbolism. It is admittedly a “choppy story”, but I wrote that way
deliberately, trying to get out of “my style” to achieve something
else. See what you think!
3. Donuts and
Diamonds (short story begun, yet never finished).
Author’s note: I took a graduate teaching course a few years ago (PLS—Purposeful
Learning Through Multiple Intelligences) and had to do this word
exercise as part of our class. We were all given this list of
mostly unrelated words and around twenty minutes to make up a story
with them. It was a lot of fun and this unedited version is what I
submitted there and for you here. (I’ve listed the words we had to
use so you can try it too.)
